Strong line-up at fourth WDANZ Conference
The Web Developers Association of New Zealand (WDANZ) announced a line-up of quality speakers for the fourth Conference next month in Auckland.The speaking line-up this time includes all experienced locals including Paul Webster from Google New Zealand, Rowan Simpson from Xero, formerly 7 years with Trade Me.
The New Zealand Government is also represented with Marie Shroff, Privacy Commissioner and Joe Stewart, Head of the Department of Internal Affairs, Anti-Spam Unit, both sharing on recent developments in their areas of the IT industry.
Other speakers are Glenn Barnes, (Nielsen//NetRatings), Scott Roberston, (High Street IT) on IT Recruitment issues and Chris Anderson, (HMU), who will be covering Modern Web Design trends.
Returning speakers are Russell Holland (E-C Internet) on Estimating & Quoting, John Martin (IBM) on Web 2.0 Security, Harvey Kane (Jojo CMS) on CSS Navigation, and Steve Yeoman (NatColl) on standards and usability.
Dennis Smith, CEO, says that previous Conferences in Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington have been extremely well received. "Everyone has reported high value from the events," he says "with speakers and attendees alike, all very willing to share their experiences and help each other."
"SpeedNetworking during the Conference is an important part of the event. Eighty percent of attendees at the previous Auckland Conference met someone that they were going to do business with."
