WDANZ launches Internet UNMASKED!!
John Jones, GM of the Web Developers Association (WDANZ), announced the launch of the Internet UNMASKED!! brand, today.“Internet UNMASKED!! is the second stage of the development of WDANZ,” Jones says “The first couple of years has been spent building membership and credibility within the IT industry. After two years, we have almost 300 members, and we are now moving out to reach the SME and Not-for-Profit sectors”.
Jones says that WDANZ will be using the Internet UNMASKED!! brand name for all events, products and services targeted at those outside of the IT industry.
“Our aim for the next two years is to build our retail presence with the Internet UNMASKED!! brand, and to continue building strategic relationships with others to bring IT related information for small business. This will be done through events, books, DVDs, and online services such as ezines, blogs, and so on”.
The book: Internet UNMASKED!! 2008 – An Essential Handbook for New Zealand Businesses and Not-for-Profits, is being launched at an event of the same name, at Ellerslie, on 16 April, 2008.
Russell Holland (WDANZ Industry Advisor) will be the MC at the upcoming event and is looking forward to the launch of the Internet UNMASKED!! book.
“A lot of members have contributed to this publication, by way of written comments, suggestions, helpful links and constructive criticism”, he says. “I believe that it will help many business people with their online strategy”.
The Internet UNMASKED!! event is jam-packed with speakers, sponsors and speed networking - which is always a real hit.”
The founder of WDANZ, Dennis Smith, is author of the book and a keynote speaker at the Internet UNMASKED!! event.
“The book has been a lot of work, but it has really enjoyable to write,” he says. “It has been deliberately written and priced in a way that WDANZ members, and others in the IT industry can easily make it available to their customers”.
